Certifications & Proofs
Certified quality, publicly verifiable
All Richter Textilien cuddly blankets - as well as Kolter - are exclusively woven and finished in Germany.
Quality and sustainability claims are based on independent certifications. Here you will find the certificate numbers for Richter Textilien, and you can verify every detail yourself.
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, Product Class I
The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 tests textiles for harmful substances. Product Class I is the strictest test class and applies to baby and toddler articles. Richter blankets are covered by two certificates:
| Certificate | Institute | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| A95-0016 | Hohenstein HTTI | Blankets made from 100% organic cotton (kbA) - including Alva, Stripy, Cádiz, Melange, Lia, Kreise, Malaga, baby blankets |
| A22-1200 | OEKO-TEX® (Annex 4) | Blankets made from recycled cotton and cotton blends - including Amrum, Borkum, Texel, Kolter city blankets and licensed blankets |
You can check each number in the official OEKO-TEX® Label Check. OEKO-TEX® certificates are renewed; we regularly check their validity (last checked: July 2026).
GOTS - Global Organic Textile Standard
The organic cotton blankets are made from cotton from controlled organic cultivation (kbA). GOTS certification sets ecological and social requirements along the entire textile value chain - from fiber to finished product.
- License: CERES-019 (Certification body CERES)
- Important: GOTS-certified products are separately marked on the product - not every product bears the GOTS label.
The license can be verified in the public GOTS database.
Made in Germany - personally verified
For us, "Made in Germany" is not just a phrase: The weaving and finishing of our blankets take place at Richter Textilien in Germany. We personally visited the production site and convinced ourselves of both production steps on site.
What you can use as a guide
- The exact material specifications, certifications, and care instructions are listed in the attribute table of each product page.
- A certificate is only valid for the products for which it is explicitly stated - we do not apply seals indiscriminately to the entire product range.
